Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that implants pigment into the superficial layers of the skin in order to resemble individual eyebrow hairs or strokes. This technique is achieved with a disposable hand tool. Microblading is ideal for someone who has experienced some hair loss and wants very natural looking eyebrows. Microblading typically lasts for 1 to 3 years but will fade over time and that's why some people have touted the procedure as "semi-permanent". Overall the results will enhance or reshape sparse, or thinning brows. If your desire is to duplicate the look of a makeup pencil then a SOFT POWDER FILL BROW may be an option to consider. In addition Razed Brow offers a combination of microblading strokes and powder fill which is ideal for clients who have some patchy spots surrounded by dense hair. There are two parts to the process which applies to all of the techniques offered. The initial session includes creating the overall brow shape, correcting any symmetrical issues, selecting the pigment color to match any existing brow hairs and performing the procedure. The second treatment is done approximately 12 weeks later (after the client has healed) and is referred to as the touch-up or perfecting session. Because each client's skin is different and takes the pigment differently, the touch up appointment may be necessary to tweak some areas if any fading has occurred. After the touch up appointment the brows should look great for 1-3 years depending on skin type, sun exposure, and environmental factors. A 1-2 year "color refresh" appointment is usually recommended if you experience significant fading. However, please keep in mind since this is permanent makeup - less is best, this is NOT a service you want to get done repeatedly throughout your life please allow as much time as possible in between retouching. Day of the Appointment... What to expect
Timing - A typical microblading appointment lasts 2 to 2.5 hours. A touch up appointment usually lasts from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.
Interview - We will ask you a series of questions about your style, what kind of makeup you wear and your personal shape preferences. Your answers will help us understand your expectations and guide you in selecting the perfect technique and shape.
Numbing - We will apply numbing cream on the area we will work on. This will make the process less stressful.
Brow Mapping - Next we will draw the eyebrows directly on your skin using a special waterproof pencil. This template creation allows the client to see the final look before any permanent work is performed.
Process - Client will be asked to lay down and relax. Artist will perform the work based on the agreed upon shape.. At the end of the service all ink leftovers are removed from the face with sterile wipes. Photographs will be taken and you'll receive your aftercare kit with instructions and products to care for your new brows for the next 14 days.
